A Little Background

Who Is Amanda Hatwell?

Hi! I'm a Mama of two and an adult fantasy author. I adore writing vivid characters and unique worlds. Books aren't just pages, they're portals to something magical and I want to spread as much of that magic as possible.

Currently, I am looking for a literary agent and exploring self-publishing options. I've been a freelance writer for five years, and I've learned many new skills in multiple genres along the way. My writing journey has been an amazing ride so far. I have spent so much time on my books and put so much love into each one. I can hardly wait to see them go out into the world to be enjoyed.

More than anything, I want my characters to be as real to my readers as they are to me. There's nothing in the world quite like creating a fictional character that comes to life on a page. My female characters are strong-willed and opinionated, nothing like the wilting damsel seen so often in fairy tales. Vampires, Witches, Gods, portals, and horror will always have a piece of my heart. Expect plenty of those things and more in my upcoming books.

Pierced Desire is the first book in a five book fantasy series. It brings the reader into a world where Greek Gods, vampires, and other mythical creatures coexist with humans in the mortal realm.
